On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders notched wins in Nebraska and Kansas.

Cruz also won in Maine and Sanders took Nebraska.

He is currently in second place in the Republican field.

The debate was the candidates' first face-to-face gathering since Super Tuesday nominating contests this week gave extra momentum to Trump but did not knock out his rivals.
