Los Billboard Music Awards 2021 se llevan a cabo este fin de semana en el Microsoft Theater de Los Angeles . En esta edición el gran favorito es The Weeknd , quien cuenta con un total de 16 nominaciones.
A diferencia de otras entregas de premios en las que los comités determinan a los nominados, los finalistas de los Premios Billboard se basan en ventas digitales y de álbumes, streamimg, reproducciones en la radio y desempeño en redes sociales. Los candidatos para las 51 categorías se basan en el período de la lista del 21 de marzo de 2020 al 3 de abril de 2021.
