La ceremonia del Oscar 2019 ya inició en el Dolby Theatre, de Los Ángeles, para celebrar a lo mejor en la cinematografía en el último año. Como se había previsto, ROMA ha sido una de las que más ha impactado en la alfombra roja, además de ser la favorita de la noche con 10 categorías.
La cinta de Alfonso Cuarón no está sola pues compite en preferencias con " The Favourite ", de Yorgos Lanthimos.
