Germán Martínez vs. the government
We’ve been told that the fact that Germán Martínez once led the IMSS , which he left because of the lack of budget and shortages, didn’t work to convince him of the need to implement budget cuts in the Senate to help in the fight against the pandemic . The former PAN member doesn’t agree with the austerity plan promoted by Morena , in support of the measure implemented by the government amid the coronavirus outbreak . We’ve been told the senator doesn’t want to donate part of his salary. Now, Martínez is expected to have a new confrontation with the ruling party.

Consulates have no idea about what’s going on
Mexico’s consulates
in the U.S. don’t have a clue about what’s to come in regards to resources . Last Thursday, they sent a statement, issued by the Public Affairs Ministry , where it is announced that they have to cut their general and operation expenses by 50%. On Friday, the Foreign Ministry announced an increase in the resources allocated to help Mexicans who are affected by COVID-19 , especially those who lost a family member. So diplomatic representatives have no idea of what is happening.
