Mexican actress and activist Yalitza Aparicio will appear at The Mexico Conference , a “student-run event at Harvard University that aims to position Mexico at the forefront of an interdisciplinary conversation .”
On January 31, Yalitza will dictate a conference at Harvard University , one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
After her Oscar nomination and the success of the film Roma , Yalitza became an outspoken activist who is working in favor of indigenous women and domestic workers . She was also appointed as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador .
According to its website, the Mexico Conference is a student-run initiative at Harvard University that aims to bring Mexico to the forefront of an interdisciplinary conversation. It is a nonprofit effort to bring high-quality speakers to as many students as possible.
