The Academy of , better known as the , nominated two Mexicans this year!

was nominated for Best Cinematography for his work in The Irishman , the acclaimed film released by Netflix in late 2019.

According to IMDb , the Mexican cinematographer is best known for his work in acclaimed films such as Brokeback Mountain (2005), Babel (2006), Argo (2012), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), and Silence (2016).

Prieto has worked with , an Academy Award Winner, on the films Amores Perros (2000), 21 Grams (2003), and Biutiful (2010).
