The true story behind BOA
On Monday, a Morena representative reached out to EL UNIVERSAL and requested a meeting, he brought a document that exposed a conspiracy against President López Obrador. The man was hoping this newspaper would publish the story on Tuesday and argued this would help the newspaper to distance itself from the plot since it was mentioned in the document. He was questioned about his sources and in case it was a lawsuit, he would have to provide names. Next thing we know, the macabre plot titled BOA was unveiled during the President’s news conference on Tuesday, where he said the people sent him the document regarding a plot to weaken him, the same document that someone brought over to EL UNIVERSAL the day before. So if the President wants to know who sent him the document, he has to ask a Morena leader where did he get the document from and why did it ask EL UNIVERSAL to publish it as an investigation by its journalists.

Muñoz Ledo is not a fan of Trump
At least one Morena member doesn’t support Trump’s reelection . Lawmaker Porfirio Muñoz Ledo expressed his support for the Democrats . He also said he hopes Joe Biden wins the November election. On Tuesday, Muñoz Ledo had a virtual meeting with migrant organizations in the U.S. to discuss several issues. So at least Morena can say that one of its most notable members doesn’t support Trump.

The junk food industry fights back
Yesterday, we revealed the federal government is planning to launch a campaign against junk food and soda . The soda industry said the government might be surprised because their products are quite popular among Mexicans, especially because in some areas it’s easier to find soda than water . They consider that it would be better to call for balance and moderation and to eat more fruits, vegetables, proteins, and water but not to slam junk food and sodas.
