Televisa and TvAzteca's contracts are renovated

Yesterday, we revealed the T elecommunications Federal Institute (IFT) , led by Gabriel Oswaldo Contreras Saldívar , granted a 20-year concession for both TV networks , for them to operate until 2041. It wasn't for free, as the proceedings cost millions and a lot of paperwork. The bad thing is the IFT decided to solve the issue during a private session last Wednesday, without publishing anything. Also, they hid since last Friday, as they aren't taking any calls or say anything about the issue, which of course, is of public interest. Is this how they will defend their autonomy when the Fourth Transformation takes office?

Peña Nieto's generous goodbyes

It's obvious President Enrique Peña Nieto is starting to say his goodbyes and that he wants to leave a good impression. We're told that's how it'll be for those who work at the ISSSTE , as they will receive their Christmas bonus on Monday in one exhibition, not in two, as it was usual. It was announced that this measure had been taken to “help the family economy ”. Imagine if the government change took place in January: what an amazing Christmas it would be for bureaucrats .

The consul's Halloween

The migration topic was contagious even during Halloween, in the U.S. It's enough to see what happened at Middleton School District , in Idaho , where a group of teachers decided to dress up as “ Mexicans ”, while others decided to dress up as a wall, like the one that President Trump wants to build in the border with Mexico. Many Mexicans, were outraged, with reason, and they started questioning if the consul at Boise , Idaho's capital, had already protested. The obvious answer is no, as Celso Humberto Delgado should have issued his resignation on October 31, valid on November 30. His assignation was a political one, as he is a PRI member . Was he already packing his bags when this scandal took place?

Where are the Senators?

This Tuesday, the parliamentary elections will take place in the U.S., where it will be decided if Donald Trump keeps or not control of Congress . Needless to say, this is a very important issue. Nevertheless, it seems like nothing relevant happens at the Mexican Senate : the 14 members of the Foreign Affairs Commission have been quiet about the matter, led by Héctor Vasconcelos from Morena , and the 9 members of the North American Commission , led by Andrea Cruz, PAN , have been silent as well. Unlike the previous Legislature , the current one doesn't seem to worry about things beyond the northern border.
