The Starbucks coffee-shop chain will donate three million coffee trees to Mexican coffee growers between 2018 and 2021 , as part of its " Todos Sembramos Café " ( We Are All Coffee Growers ) campaign, in order to renew old and unproductive plantations and increase the density of plants per hectare.

In a statement, the company said that for each bag of coffee beans that is purchased in stores in the country from July 9 to September 30 , Starbucks will donate a percentage for the purchase of coffee plants tolerant to rust, which will be delivered to Chiapas producers , in addition to receiving direct contributions.

It also stated that the goal is to donate three million coffee trees to Mexican coffee growers between 2018 and 2021 , since by renewing old and unproductive plantations and increasing the density of plants per hectare, coffee plantations will be rejuvenated, increasing production, quality, as well as resistance to diseases, which will help generate profitable crops for producers.
