The renewable energy industry is taking Mexico , and the world , by storm and although there are 1,000 solar integrators in Mexico , Mexican solar power company Enlight is leading the market .
Although it faces challenges, the solar energy industry has experienced exponential growth in recent years because it offers cleaner and cheaper energy , better technology and transparency .
According to Enlight , the solar energy's panorama looks brighter than ever because in contrast with fossil fuels , in the last 8 years, solar energy has become cheaper and is attracting more industrial and domestic consumers each year.
Moreover, Mexico is strategically located in the Sun Belt , which is the perfect condition to install solar panels all over the country. According to Enlight , if the Mexican government invested in solar panels , instead of implementing state subsidies to utility bills , it would save millions and it would also benefit the environment .
In the case of Enlight , the company is leading the market because it offers the most advanced technology and transparency . The company developed an app for their users to monitor their panel system , which allows the user to review their energy consumption , their savings , among other features, in contrast with the state-owned Federal Electricity Commission .
The Mexican company recently opened an office in Chile and plans to expand to other Latin American countries . Also, earlier this month, they opened a new office in Guadalajara , seeking to promote clean energy and have a positive impact on the local economy and the environment .
But what does the future holds for s olar energy in Mexico ? Well, according to Enlight , the industry will continue to expand, for example, they have installed hundreds of solar panels at new residential developments, an important step towards the integration of solar energy into everyday lives and the construction industry , something that will benefit the environment and homeowners .
Also, Enlight revealed that Mexico will soon allow collective contracts , which means apartment buildings will now be able to install solar panels , which will benefit the whole communities.
