PRD mayors threaten President López Obrador
The ultimatum has been issued and it expires on Monday. On Monday, 192 PRD mayors are expecting an answer from the federal government , in regards to their demand for resources or they have threatened to start blockades . They could even block Mexico City's airport , as they did on December 22, when they generated chaos for hours. They are demanding resources because they no longer receive money from the extinct branch 23, electricity prices have increased by 40%, and the Conagua and Sedatu banned constructions in the places they govern. The PRD party is not only on the verge of extinction as a political party , but it is also on the verge of bankruptcy . How far will they go and how far will their protest be allowed to go?
Is austerity affecting the Attorney General's Office?
We've been told that the Attorney General's Office has abandoned its website because although the head of the office, Alejandro Gertz Manero , has been leading the institution for four months, no one has uploaded his picture to the website . This isn't the only case, it also includes other high ranking officials . It might not seem like a huge issue but if they forget about something basic, what's going to happen to the institution's transparency commitment? Or are they short-staffed?
