How to build a positive image on the world stage ? Millions of dollars can be spent to do so but in times of Republican austerity , the government can use two strategies.

The Mexican Foreign Service will also be extremely useful. Mexico has 80 embassies and 67 consulates around the world . Among their main tasks are defending Mexico 's interests abroad and looking after the country's reputation . Very few others have the power to portray the right image.
Yesterday, during the 30th annual ambassadors and consuls meeting , the Minister of Foreign Affairs defined what will be the core of Mexico's foreign policy : the defense of human rights and of the democratic values, as well as non-intervention and promoting the peaceful resolution of conflicts .
It's necessary to create an image of Mexico before the world . For example, on Monday, the consultancy firm Eurasia Group placed Mexico on its 2019 list of 10 geopolitical risks.
The government is facing the challenge of building an identity beyond its borders . On its discourse, it can be described as an ideal country , although what matters are words supported by actions .
