Mexico wins World University Football Championship

On June 26, Mexico’s national football team won the World University Football Championship for the third time ever in the city of Harbin, China

On June 26 , Mexico’s national football team won the World University Football Championship for the third time ever in the city of Harbin, China , shortly after beating the Japanese football team 39-3 at a tournament which was clearly dominated by the Mexican players.

The “ Aztecs ” team had to play four matches to reach the championship game of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) . First, they faced South Korea and beat their team 69-0 , then they beat China’s team 70-0 , again proving their spectacular talent.

Their third match was the closest one. They played against the team from the United States , closing the board with a score of 20-17 .

In 2014 , Mexico gained its first title in the city of Uppsala, Sweden . In 2016 , they won their second championship in the city of Monterrey, Mexico .
