Mexico wants to create a vaccine against COVID-19
Sources said Mexico’s Foreign Ministry is not only working so that the country has access to the COVID-19 vaccines produced in other countries, but it is also financing four projects to create a vaccine in Mexico. Sources said that for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, led by Marcelo Ebrard, creating a vaccine in Mexico is a priority.
The army will build an ecological park
Although the Mexican army is already building 13 projects, insiders said President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is handing another project over to the army . Yesterday, the President said he would present a new project for an ecological park in Texcoco , the place where the previous administration started the construction of an airport. So today López Obrador will present the new project, which was already presented to General Luis Cresencio Sandoval. The Mexican army has a lot of work to do.
The INE has a lot of work to do
Members of the General Council at the National Electoral Institute ( INE ) will discuss very interesting topics this week. The Prosecutor’s Office for Electoral Crime will inform the INE about the Odebrecht case, as well as a new case against Pío López Obrador and David León. Today, the INE will also discuss important issues like its 2021 budget and the creation of new political parties, especially “México Libre,” led by Felipe Calderón and Margarita Zavala, as well as “Redes Sociales Progresistas,” a group linked to Elba Esther Gordillo. The INE has a lot of work to do in the upcoming weeks; however, it has to be careful because the political climate is on fire.
Government officials will meet with Morena
This week, Morena will witness a series of government officials doing presentations. The virtual meeting will include Olga Sánchez Cordero, Jorge Alcocer, Hugo López-Gatell, Marcelo Ebrard, Arturo Herrera, María Luisa Albores, Esteban Moctezuma, Irma Eréndira Sandoval, and Santiago Nieto. Morena members are getting ready for their last year in Congress because noting guarantees they will keep the majority in the lower chamber after the 2021 elections.
