The Mexican Government has expressed its support to the Japanese government and its people after a missile launched by North Korea flew over Japanese territory – according to the information available.
The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) released a statement declaring Japan a strategical ally of Mexico in the Asia-Pacific region, “with which we have very solid political, economic, trade and cooperation ties.”
The Ministry also highlighted that Japan is “our third largest trading partner worldwide and our main investor in Asia”.
The Mexican Government has condemned this new launching, which represents a threat to the security and safety of Japan and the Asian region.
The North Korea missile launches, in addition to the development of their military nuclear program, are a disturbance of the international peace, constitute a clear violation of international rights and of multiple compulsory resolutions issued by the UN Security Council, and obstruct the multilateral efforts to provide an environment of stability and cooperation in the Korean Peninsula and the Northeast of Asia, according to the statement.
