Mexicans Edson Ramírez and Gabriela Martínez totalled 488.1 points and, not far behind them, Eglys de la Cruz and Reynier Estopiñan , from the Cuban team , scored 488 points , taking the silver medal . The dramatic finale was settled with the last shot.

Shooters Israel Gutiérrez and Ana Ramírez , from El Salvador , scored 422.9 points , taking the bronze medal .

Guatemala

was left out of the podium, scoring 382.6 points, as well as the team from Puerto Rico , with 339.7 .

At only 18 years old , the Mexican duo overcame their Central American rivals. Mexico is currently at the top of the medal field, with over 60 gold medals .
