Mexican users of fixed and mobile telephone lines , broadband , and TV networks are willing to pay 58,000 million pesos more for these services, as long as there is an improvement in service quality and additional products offered, according to the Nichos market investigation of the telecommunications sector conducted by Promtel .

“Users are willing to pay more money for a better service,” explained Fernando Borjón , head of the Organism for the Promotion of Telecommunications Investment ( Promtel ) at an interview with EL UNIVERSAL .

This means that there is a potential and unattended demand that could be met with Mexico’s current telecommunications infrastructure, though perhaps with the aid of new investment projects in the sector, according to the document.
