The museum was inaugurated two years ago . It's an avant-garde building, where premium quality wines are tasted. Among the Mexican wines tasted were wines from Casa Madero, Monte Xanic, Viña Doña Dolores Freixenet Mexico, Vinaltura, and Vinícola Regional de Ensenada . According to the CMV, it was a sample that represented the winemaking diversity in Mexico .

The initiative to attend the fair was an effort to place Mexican wines in the European market , and to consolidate the North American market.

Daniel Milmo Brittingham

, the head of the Mexican Wine Council , said that “ Mexico cannot remain oblivious to world trends and the most effective way to get involved was the decision to reintegrate into the International Organization of Vine and Wine".

The presentation was attended by a hundred importers, sommeliers , the press and the catering sector , who learned about the virtues and qualities of the Mexican wineries and the origins of the vineyards.

The tasting is part a project led by the CMV called "Promotion and Strengthening of Commercial Capacities of the National Wine Industry", supported by the SAGARPA .

According to the CMV , the Mexican wine industry is on the rise since the last decade . It has 6,000,500 production hectares and around 200 businesses that offer over 1,200 different labels.
