Mexican swimmer Liliana Ibáñez wins medal in Barranquilla

The talented swimmer Liliana Ibáñez added another medal to Mexico’s score at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia . She won a silver medal in the 50 meters freestyle swimming category with a time of 25.15 seconds .

The gold medal was for Colombian athlete Isabella Arcila , with a time of 25.11 seconds , enough to beat the previous 25.18 record set by Puerto Rican Vanessa García in Mayagüez 2010 .

This was one of Ibáñez López’s greatest accomplishments during the Barranquilla games after winning the gold medal for the 4x200 swim relay category alongside Mónika González, Ayumi Macías, and María José Mata , as well as the bronze medal for the 200 m freestyle and 50 m butterfly competitions .
