The Mexican government wants to ban obscure deals
Days ago, states and municipalities were told to use public resources allocated to security transparently and efficiently. We’ve been told that the head of the National Public Security System , Leonel Cota , met with representatives from several states and municipalities to agree on the expenditure of the security budget . We’ve been told that during these meetings, Cota proposed the attendees to acquire equipment through a consolidated purchase scheme that would generate more savings . For example, he said that this scheme could reduce the price of bulletproof vests up to 50%. The thing is that this proposal could affect the economic interests of powerful companies .
