Every single DJ in the world dreams of performing in Tomorrowland . On this occasion, two Mexican DJs will be part of the concert, which will start tomorrow in Belgium .
In an interview, Mr. Pig , one of the DJs to perform on stage, stated that he felt ready to prove that Mexicans can also make quality music.
“This is a big responsibility and I feel happy and proud. After almost five years of hard work I am now able to participate in Tomorrowland. I made it! Mexican audiences are some of the best in the world, even international DJs say so. The problem is that Mexicans are not very supportive of their own artists until they become relevant abroad.”
The famous twins from Monterrey “Le Twins” will also be participating at the event, as will the Tom & Collins duet , which has performed on several stages all around the world. They too were surprised to receive the invitation.
“It was a little unexpected. We’ve scheduled performances in Ibiza , Italy , and now we are going to Tomorrowland, and it’s all thanks to Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike ’s support. They felt a little in our debt since they’re very fond of Mexico. They felt like supporting Mexican DJs,” said Juan Pablo Escudero , member of Tom & Collins.
“We’ve definitely put a lot of work on this project and we’ve given up our careers because we decided to follow our dreams. We’ve taken it step by step, we started out as two friends playing records in Mexico City and, all of a sudden, a company noticed us and helped us make our way to the top. We have enjoyed every accomplishment as it comes.”
Years ago, the duet made a remix of a song by Madonna , which was shared by the pop queen through her social networks.
“We still have a long way to go. We would like to perform at different stages such as Coachella, but right now, we are focusing on our music. We will launch a new track on August 10.”
