Every year, Mexico City's metro system hosts over 200 exhibitions , including mammoth remains , murals , music , and even the jungle . In total, the metro shelters 388 cultural objects .

Nature

For MXN $5, users can become explorers in the Viveros station, where there is a jungle and a hanging bridge.

Did you know you are walking on top of a pyramid ? Pino Suárez is home to the Ehécatl pyramid, a temple built in 1400 A.D. and was dedicated to the Aztec god of wind.

You can see sculptures from the Maya, Aztec, Mexica , and Toltec at Bellas Artes .

have taken over Zapata , as drawings from Rius and Gabriel Vargas can be found all over the subway station .

An exhibition that pays homage to the best Mexican boxers is available in Garibaldi .

Lucha Libre

You can learn about legendary Mexican wrestlers and lucha libre in Guerrero .

Music

There is a mural depicting Mexican rock stars and bands such as Rockdrigo González , El Tri , and Maldita Vecindad in Chabacano .

Artist Jorge Flores Manjarrez will take you back in time with a mural titled “A journey through rock,” which depicts Janis Joplin, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, among others. It is located in Auditorio .

Polanco

is famous for its piano stairs ! Take this opportunity to play your favorite song!

You have a chance to shine at División del Norte . There are screens , microphones , and karaoke at the station.

Education

You can admire a mural about the National Autonomous University of Mexico by painter Arturo García Bustos .

Art

Copilco

is home to a mural by Guillermo Ceniceros , which depicts key characters in world history such a s Emperor Cuauhtémoc, Quetzalcoátl, Huitzilopochtli, Hernán Cortés, Leonardo da Vinci, Picasso , and Diego Rivera .

You can visit France for a few minutes through th e mural “Vision of a Mexican artist about France,” by Rodolfo Morales and “Vision of a French artist about Mexico” by Jean Paul Chambas . It is located in Bellas Artes.

The mural “The metro in London and Paris ” by Rafael Cauduro in Insurgentes is a paranormal experience.

History

There is a museum dedicated to the metro in Mixcoac . The exhibition includes photographs , scale models , and anecdotes about Mexico City's subway.

You can travel back in time with the scale models decorating Zócalo , which depict how the main square looked in pre-colonial times, during colonial times , and in the 20th century.
