A federal judge has admitted a request for defense against the decoration of the Mexican Order of the Aztec Eagle to Jared Kushner , Donald Trump 's son-in-law and adviser.

In the lawsuit filed by the Center against Discrimination , the organization argues that the previous administration violated the rules established in the Prizes, Stimuli, and Civil Awards Law , as it establishes that the medal will be awarded to foreigners whose work has a positive impact on Mexicans, therefore, Kushner doesn't fulfill that requirement.

The medal was granted to Kushner by former President, Enrique Peña Nieto , on November 30, 2018, in Buenos Aires, Argentina , during the G-20 summit .
