The deadly Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel collaborated with several Mexico City-based to launch the attacked against , the city’s police chief.

Investigations indicate the CJNG members planned to set García Harfuch’s vehicle on fire.

The investigation suggests the CJNG deployed members of , the , and a recently created criminal group called ACME . Moreover, ACME provided vehicles, warehouses, and homes for the gunmen to stay before the attack.

The investigation launched by Mexico City authorities indicates that Julio César Montero Pinzón , aka “El Tarjetas,” ordered the attack and that the bloody drug cartel spend millions in vehicles, weapons, and gunmen. “El Tarjetas” is close to Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes , the leader of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel.

Sources close to the investigation told EL UNIVERSAL that Montero Pinzón, a leader in Puerto Vallarta , sent José Armando , aka “El Vaca,” to Mexico City to plan the attack against Harfuch .

The criminals purchased vehicles since June 9, as well as several weapons.

According to local authorities, the 19 suspects arrested were ready to present the same version to authorities to divert the investigation . They all claimed to be construction workers, artisans, and farmers.

ACME

operates in northern Mexico City. It is dedicated to theft in public transport, theft, and burglary . In February 2020, the criminal group started selling drugs in locations controlled by La Unión Tepito . The criminals were looking to expand their criminal activities with the help of the CJNG.

One of the trucks used in the attack against Harfuch was seen leaving a warehouse that belongs to ACME. Meanwhile, members of La Unión Tepito were in charge of monitoring García Harfuch’s activities.

The Tláhuac Cartel deployed their gunmen for the attack. The local organization also provided homes for the gunmen to hide.

19 suspects arrested

On early Sunday, 12 gunmen were moved to a prison in southern Later, authorities moved five other suspects; the three men were sent to the same prison and the two women were sent to the Santa Martha Acatitla prison .

All the suspects have been charged with homicide , attempted murder, and carrying firearms only allowed for military use.

It is unknown if two other suspects arrested in the State of Mexico have been charged.
