IPN student wins second place in 2017 Robocon IDC

Aimé Veu Gordillo

, student of the National Polytechnic Institute ( Instituto Politécnico Nacional abbreviated IPN ) won second place in 2017 Robocon International Design Contest ( IDC ) held in Zhejiang , China .

The Robotic Workshop of the Mechanic and Electric Engineering Higher School ( Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica abbreviated ESIME ) campus Zacatenco was invited by T okyo Institute of Technology to 017 Robocon IDC, an event that gathered students from the best universities in technology development, such as China, South Korea , the United States , Japan , Singapore and Thailand .

Aimé Veu Gordillo, along with Thitima Sukajit , Katsuya Sato , Mian Wang and Ahmed Atef Ali Abdelrahman had to build a robot capable of building a tower while manipulating small balls.

The IPN student programmed the robot to make movement, rotation, and lifting possible.

, ESIME Zacatenco Robotic Workshop founder, was the advisor of Aimé Veu Gordillo, who studied programming, motor control, electric and mechanic design, and software for eight months.

University students representing countries all over the world gather up for the Robocon program. For 2 weeks, the students share their life and robotic knowledge.
