, who's an engineer in communications and electronics, and César Augusto Serrano Baza , a mechanical engineer, both from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering ( ESIME ) are part of the group of experts participating in the 201 Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) mission , organized by the Mars Society , which ends today.

During the mission, the Analog Mission Mex-1 installed an antenna (VSAT) under the conditions that astronauts would have to face in Mars, such as different temperature, climate, pressure, terrain, atmosphere, and logistics.

The IPN graduates hope that this is the first of many missions and explained that the Mars Society is a non-profit organization based in the United States , which promotes research and space exploration worldwide , as well as the development of knowledge that can provide technology for future missions to Mars.

This organization re created a habitat that resembles the inhospitable conditions of Mars in the Utah desert.

The experts explained that the calls for the analogous missions of Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) are open to students, professionals , and scientists who have an interest in space and whose experiments can provide protocols, technologies , and knowledge for a real space mission.
