The most powerful Atlantic Ocean storm in recorded history slammed into the tiny Island of Bermuda resulting in catastrophic floods followed by destruction.

At least one killed and massive destruction in Bermuda are big concerns in Hurricane Irma aftermath.

Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne

described the damage he witnessed while flying over Barbuda to national broadcaster ABS . Browne said that the Lesser Antilles or the Caribbees were severely damaged.

At least two people died and two others were seriously injured on St. Barts and St. Martín , said French Overseas Affairs Minister Annick Girardin .

Moreover, Hurricane Irma destroyed 95% of St. Martín Island , Daniel Gibbs , the Chairman of a local council on St. Martín , told Radio Caribbean International .

“It’s an enormous catastrophe. 95% of the island is destroyed. I’m in shock. It’s frightening,” said Gibbs.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center ( NHC ) issued an advisory in which urges people about the catastrophic potential that Hurricane Irma still has.
