How will the President commemorate March 8?

said that when he announced the sale of raffle tickets would start on March 9 , he didn’t remember that that same day women would go on a national strike . The President then postponed the sale to prevent any conflict. We’ve been told that the President’s team might have been pushed to rearrange the agenda on International Women’s Day. Last Monday, the President’s office released the agenda, where there were no events to commemorate the date. However, someone remembered the date and changed the agenda and included an event in Zacatecas , where the President will commemorate International Women’s Day.

The PAN launches an anti-Anaya reform

As we’ve said before, the PAN is working on internal reforms to face Morena in the 2021 election . We’ve been told that last weekend, it approved a reform to prevent another situation like the one in 2018 when its former leader Ricardo Anaya left his role as the party’s president to become the presidential candidate. The proposal says that if a national leader or general secretary wants to contend for the presidency, they have to quit their job at least 18 months before the electoral process begins. This new rule could also apply to state officials who want to contend for the governorship.

What’s going on at Morena?

On Wednesday, interim Morena leader Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar met with lawmakers . We’ve been told that Ramírez Cuellar is listening to different groups inside the party, in order to define the process for the internal election . Around 130 lawmakers attended the meeting and today, Yeidckol Polevnsky will hand over the leadership to Cuéllar.

COVID-19 bothers workers

We’ve been told that workers at the National Palace don’t like the health conferences at the historical building. We’ve been told that before the COVID-19 updates, events usually ended around 5:00 PM and they could go home. Nevertheless, after the President said the conference would take place at his residence so it had a bigger impact and a large audience . So now everyone has to stay at work until late.
