Young people feel frustrated when they find themselves unemployed after finishing their education . Studying university for four or five years and then becoming unemployed for two years before they can find their first job is not a fulfilling experience .

Entering and cementing themselves in the work market does not ensure that they will obtain permanent stability . In Mexico , in the last months, unemployment rates have increased and those who have been affected the most are those with higher education levels.

According to the INEGI , during the second trimester of 2019 , the number of unemployed people increased to 2 million people, the highest number registered since 2016. From the total, 47% of them studied high school or university .

For experts , this is because the jobs that are being created do not require specialized knowledge or work experience . Therefore, the educated sector is having a hard time finding a job, they are overqualified .

One of the keys to eradicating this problem lies within local governments , which should promote their economies . Moreover, the states that register high social backwardness levels and low industrialization levels also registered then the highest number of educated people who are unemployed: Puebla , 62%; Guerrero and Chiapas , 58%; Veracruz , 55%, and Campeche , 54%. Once again, the highest poverty levels and negative growth rates are registered in southern Mexico . It has been confirmed that the country is moving at two different rates: one region is moving towards modernity and development while the south is moving backward .

Mexico

needs to generate jobs for everyone and it probably has the capacity to carry out this task, but they haven't been properly distributed. The coordination between companies , education institutions, and governments is essential to identify the jobs economy demands. Another option is to opt for technical education ; in some regions in the country , it could be the most sound option.

If the government , the industry , and education institutions work together to create jobs , the development of the country could be more uniform and eradicate the disappointing reality university students are facing.
