We've been told that soccer executives will sign an agreement with the Financial Intelligence Unit , led by Santiago Nieto , to detect and report illicit resources in soccer teams. This is an effort to modernize the Mexican soccer league but also prevents the enforcement of expired ownership of soccer teams, as it has been the case in several South American teams that were linked to drug cartels and criminal groups .

The Defense Minister , Luis Cresencio Sandoval , gave a traditional speech to reaffirm the armed forces ' loyalty to the President but also stated that the army supports López Obrador 's project and reminded people that President López Obrador was elected through a democratic and transparent process. The words said by Minister Sandoval become more relevant after a speech given by general Carlos Gaytán , where he questioned the decisions made by President López Obrador , especially after the failed arrest of Ovidio Guzmán . Did Sandoval send a message to Gaytán?
