Guillermo Del Toro to be featured in ‘Simpsons’ episode

Yesterday, Mexican filmmaker and novelist Guillermo Del Toro drove his fans mad after tweeting a picture of a cartoon version of himself next to Mr. Burns , an iconic character from the American TV show The Simpsons , implying that he might appear in the show sometime next week.

This is not the first time that the Academy Award winner is alluded to in the animated series created by Matt Groening . In 2013, the show featured a special intro with numerous references to worlds and monsters created by Del Toro, such as vampires, fairies, and well-known characters such as Hellboy, the Pale Man, and the faun from Pan’s Labyrinth .
