Government official receives a death threat

We've been told that the head of the National Council for Education Development ( Conafe ), Cuauhtémoc Sánchez Osio , received death threats . We've been told that there was an anonymous message a few feet away from his office, calling his collaborators to “beat him; ignore him; kick him; fire him; or disappear him (sic).” The message ended with the line “better take care of yourself,” accompanied by an article that criticizes the official, linked to a tender that didn't fulfill the needs of the Conafe . We've been told that the threat is being investigated by Mexico City Attorney General's Office.

Where is the special prosecutor?

Yesterday, the president of the lower chamber, Porfirio Muñoz Ledo , reminded us that the Attorney General's Office has a Special Prosecutor's Office for the Fight against Corruption , led by María de la Luz Mijangos , but the thing is not much is know about her of the special unit. The observation made by Muñoz Ledo comes after the Superior Audit Office (ASF) and the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) , are the agencies that have been denouncing mayor corruption cases, but nothing is known about the special anti-corruption unit . The Morena lawmaker said that he hasn't seen the Special Prosecutor's Office punish any corrupt official.

Did the PRD lose its rockstar?

We've been told that several members of the political platform known as Future 21 attended the PRD's plenary session , including Gabriel Quadri and Ricardo Pascoe but a notable absentee was Juan Zepeda , also known as the PRD's rockstar , even when he returned to his position as a senator on August 7. His absence fueled the rumors about his exit from the PRD and the claims that he could join Morena or MC . Nevertheless, none of the two parties have made an announcement, even though the ordinary period is starting soon. If Zepeda leaves the PRD , it will lose its last popular member.

Children with cancer ask for help

The Health Minister, Jorge Alcocer Varela , and the head of the ISSSTE , Luis Antonio Ramírez Pineda , will have to work hard to solve the case involving the parents of children with cancer , who have reported that their children haven't received chemotherapy because of a lack of different drugs . The parents are also asking authorities to solve the issue as soon as possible or on the contrary, they will take radical actions such as blocking federal roads . We've been told that authorities have met with the parents and that there will be a press conference to explain the current situation in regards to the lack of drugs , nevertheless, the issue is not over yet. Meanwhile, it seems like the head of the IMSS , Zoé Robledo saved the day because this institute will provide the drugs for now.
