It seems Martha Erika Alonso, wife of former Governor of Puebla, Rafael Moreno Valle , was certainly coddled during the first address of Governor Antonio Gali. In his message, Gali showered Moreno Valle's wife with praise, thanking her twice for her service as head of the Comprehensive Family Development System (DIF). PAN exodus to MORENA
The exodus of the conservative National Action Party ( PAN ) continues. To the cases of Margarita Zavala and Senator Javier Lozano, we can also add the one of Juan Rodolfo Sánchez , former Mayor of Toluca, who ran under the PAN's wing but has now fled to the left National Regeneration Party ( MORENA ) – where he will be able to run for Mayor of Toluca again. Moreover, our sources say that in the upcoming days an important Senator of the PAN may well join the ranks of the party led by Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
Espionage in Meade's pre-campaign?
Among the members of the center-right Institutional Revolutionary Party ( PRI ), it's becoming a rule to make sure nothing they don't want filtered gets filtered. And to achieve this, our sources say they have private meetings where no electronic devices are allowed. We're told this is what happened on Monday during a work meeting of the aspiring presidential candidate of the PRI, José Antonio Meade , with a youth group of PRI sympathizers in Pachuca, Hidalgo . The meeting was private and the youths were told: no cell phones in the room. The same thing happens during the strategy meetings at the PRI war rooms, although this seems a very common practice there. Are they, perhaps, afraid of espionage in the campaign of Mr. Pepe?
An embrace in Pachuca
Several members of the center-right Institutional Revolutionary Party ( PRI ) agreed that yesterday the party performed an act of unity. We're told that one of the main supporters of the tour across Hidalgo performed by the aspiring candidate of the center-right coalition, José Antonio Meade , was the former Minister of the Interior, Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong . Mr Miguel, our sources say, joined Meade for several meetings with party sympathizers and even a private one with businesspeople. However, the highlight of a day in which, according to Meade's campaign team, 5,000 PRI sympathizers gathered to support the aspiring candidate, was when Mr. José Antonio and Mr. Miguel Ángel – who many have sought to pit against each other – embraced. Will Osorio be present at more Meade rallies after their embrace in Pachuca?
