Felipe Calderón will publish a new book

Former President Felipe Calderón and several former officials have been thinking about the old times. On one hand, Calderón announced he will publish a new book titled Difficult Decisions. The former President explained he finished the draft in 2019, where he includes the most important and difficult decisions he has taken. On the other hand, Javier Lozano , who Calderón appointed as Labor Minister, shared an image on Twitter, where he congratulates b, the former Finance Minister, on his birthday. Roberto Gil, Salvador Vega, and Jorge Luis Lavalle were in the picture too. Luckily, no one shared a picture with Genaro García Luna .

López Obrador vs. feminism

Feminist groups weren’t happy abou t President López Obrador ’s declarations in regards to gender-based violence after he said it hasn’t increased during the COVID-19 pandemic; he made these statements after his government revealed emergency calls to report these crimes have increased. We’ve been told that after López Obrador’s comments, around 175 NGOs signed and sent a letter to the President so that he guarantees the resources for the defense of the rights of women and acknowledges the situation.

Did the amnesty law fail?

Several senators got emotional while discussing how humanitarian the Amnesty Law was. During the discussion, members of the opposition said the law would arrive too late because it will enter into force in 180 days.
