Fátima’s family was re-victimized by the DIF
Mexico City’s National System for Integral Family Development ( DIF ) released a document in regards to Fátima , the little girl murdered in Mexico City . We’ve been told that the statement, which said Fátima’s mother mistreated and was emotionally negligent towards her children, released by the institution led by Esthela Damián Peralta was highly insensitive. It’s complicated to understand what led the DIF to release and share such information. Many question the value of this information, which might have nothing to do with the murder of Fátima. What was the DIF trying to do by releasing this information? Although this information is important for the investigation , did the public need to know? What the DIF achieved was to re-victimize the victim and her family.
