A 25-meter tall Christmas tree , reindeer moving and singing carols, a well-lit train passing through pebbled streets, and more than a thousand colored lights await you at the Villa Iluminada in the Magical Village of Atlixco, Puebla .
This year, the villa will be inaugurated on November 23 at 20:00 hours . Visitors will be able to take a walk from the main square all the way to the Revolución Park .
The tour will feature giant figures and small shoes with letters for the Three Wise Men , following the Mexican tradition. There will also be spheres and drums, as well as a train that will allow visitors to get better acquainted with the streets downtown.
Furthermore, the villa will offer a food tasting pavilion and mechanical rides. There will also be a draft beer pavilion for adults.
At the Convention Center of Atlixco , the show Nikolaus will dazzle audiences by telling the legend of Santa Claus. There will also be a lit float parade, bubble houses, and a ginger cookie workshop.
Atlixco’s Villa Iluminada will be completely free of cost, though tickets for the Nikolaus show will come at a price of between MXN$110 and $165 .
Atlixco is only 25 kilometers away from the city of Puebla , in the slopes of the Popocatépetl volcano , surrounded by Franciscan convents and fields of mums and poinsettias .
