that Isaías Gallardo Chávez and José Manuel Díaz Flores submitted a dismissal of proceedings , like the one issued by Gordillo.

The legal documents gather the arguments used during Gordillo's defense , in order to discredit the money laundering and organized crime charges.

When Gordillo appealed , a tribunal in Mexico City declared her petition valid , and while analyzing the evidence presented by the PGR against Elba Esther and her two co-accused, the tribunal declared that it was illegal because they were obtained by violating bank secrecy , therefore, it was accredited that the resources' origin was legal.

With that, the former teachers' leader was freed, but her defense , headed by the lawyer Marco Antonio del Toro , asked for an additional legal protection resource to prevent the PGR from trying to execute a new order against his client.

The defense claimed that “it's a precautionary measure every lawyer should carry out from a preventive point of view, especially since it's about an event that has presented a series of anomalies ”.

In legal documents, claimed that the responsible authority was all the judges in federal districts; the ones specialized in oral trials, and the other three judges, the ones who manage the federal prisons known as Norte, Oriente, and Sur.

Del Toro

announced

that because of the alleged leak of the complete sentence, where Gordillo was declared innocent, he has issued a complaint before the Council of the Federal Judiciary for them to investigate who leaked the resolution in social media.
