The education reform is at risk
Opposition lawmakers
couldn't find a way to solve the blockade outside the lower chamber, organized from teachers from the National Coordination of Education Workers (CNTE) . Yesterday, there was a catastrophic scenario: since they could not access the building and carry out the sessions to work on the education reform. All these generated a clash between Morena and the opposition, as Mario Delgado , M orena's parliament coordinator, blamed the lawmakers who didn't arrive early to the building for not having enough quorum and be able to approve the reform at the commissions. At the end of the day, the parliamentary groups reached an agreement with the CNTE to allow them into the building. We've been told that the PAN, PRI, MC, and PRD are willing to attend the sessions and work on the project negotiated by some groups. Did they give something to the CNTE , so that they don't put their legislative work at risk?
Lawmakers are in trouble
We've been told that Morena members in the lower chamber were embroiled in a legal issue, as well as all the other groups because they have now missed three sessions , after teachers blocked the entrance to the legislative building . The lawmakers would also miss the Organic Law of Congress session because they hadn't received the Senate's consent . The CNTE teachers really got the lawmakers in trouble.
José Narro throws a tantrum
José Narro
threw a tantrum . We've been told that in a meeting where the 6 contenders to the PRI's internal election were told that the date of the election had to be changed from July to September. Most of the contenders agreed that it should be held on September 8 except from Narro , who said he had to talk to his team. Then another contender hit back and told him that he was the candidate from the “PRI system”, a comment that made Narro upset and he left the room before the meeting ended.
Unrest at the evangelical community
A group of evangelical churches scheduled a forum to analyze the reach of the full religious freedom. We've been told that the meeting is relevant because there is discontent inside the evangelical community , because of Arturo Farela 's attitude, who claims to be the only interlocutor before the federal government. We're told that in Mexico , there are over 4,000 evangelical organizations registered before the authorities, who are fighting to maintain the secular characteristic in the government . We will see who is stronger.
