Mr. Ealy Ortiz has also faced governments that were against freedom of expression and technological revolutions but he was able to bring the newspaper into the digital era.
In current times, one of the main risks is the criticism against journalists an d media outlets that present information based on evidence. This type of behavior is dangerous in times of criminal violence and impunity . The murder of journalists and reporters has increased and the crimes are hardly punished.

For the press and media outlets , society and monitoring the performance of politicians in power are the main priorities.
