Alleged members of the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) delivered food to people in southern Veracruz , in communities like Coatzacoalcos , Córdoba , Tlacotalpan , and Medellin .
In pictures and videos shared on social media , alleged cartel members can be seen delivering groceries in boxes marked with the cartel ’s name.
The video also shows people thanking drug lord Nemesio Oseguera, “El Mencho,” and “El Tanque,” a drug trafficker based in Veracruz.

In La Perla , a community located in a mountain range, police officers prevented criminals from delivering the groceries. After an anonymous caller alerted authorities and municipal police officers arrive at the site, gunmen shot the officers, who later received support from the state police and the navy , army , and the National Guard , who detained four criminals and seized several weapons.
Around 400 people were present at the site to receive food from the bloody Mexican cartel .
According to Veracruz authorities, the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel is taking advantage of the public health crisis to recruit the poor and vulnerable.
