We’ve been told that the head of Cultural Promotion Coordination at the UNAM , Jorge Volpi , and a female colleague have been affected by a dirt campaign . In a letter, a group of women is accusing him of harassment and of using his position to benefit women in exchange for sexual favors . However, an alleged victim is actually being victimized by the other women, who argue that she does not have the necessary ability to access a higher position at work. The woman herself has voiced outrage and condemned the sexist claims made by female colleagues . In this case, we’ve been told that this has perhaps orchestrated by conservative groups inside the UNAM.

No room for dissidents at Morena

We’ve been updating our readers on the things lawmaker Porfirio Muñoz Ledo has said against his own party, Morena , as well as against the current government. We’ve been told that Morena members are not fond of Muñoz Ledo, however, the former UN ambassador doesn’t care about the criticism . We’ve been told that another rebel lawmaker, Lorena Villavicencio , showed her support for Porfirio Muñoz and also said that the ruling party is censoring itself so that its members don’t criticize presidential initiatives that are not well planned or developed. Also, she said the lawmakers have been sanctioned .

Coronavirus is a risk for refugees

The COVID-19 outbreak has alerted national and international authorities . For example, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Mexico has been monitoring the situation and visiting shelters to implement prevention measures. So far, no refugees have been diagnosed with COVID-19 .

Even after the COVID-19 outbreak , Franco Coppola opened the doors of the Vatican embassy in Mexico to commemorate the 7th anniversary of Pope Francis as head of the Catholic church . The meeting was attended by Senator Mónica Fernández Balboa. At least we hope they didn’t shake hands.
