Coca-Cola, Bimbo, Alpura, Lala, Jumex, and Malboro are raising prices

The National Alliance of Small Businesses (Anpec), disclosed that soft drinks, bread, dairy products, cigarettes, and other products presented a price increase attributed to higher costs in the supply chain for different businesses

Coca-Cola

, Bimbo , Alpura , Lala , Jumex , and Marlboro raised the prices of their products between MXN$1 and MXN$3 at the beginning of this year as a result of the adjustments derived from inflation and the rising energy prices .

According to a survey conducted by EL UNIVERSAL , some of the products affected by the price increases are packaged bread , soft drinks , dairy products , juices , and cigars .

On an individual basis, white, integral, and multigrain Bimbo bread have had increases between MXN$1 and MXN$2 , while hot dog buns and hamburger buns have had price increases as well.

Grupo Bimbo

, a Mexican multinational bakery product manufacturing company, reported that the price increase "corresponds to an adjustment as a result of inflation."

Marlboro

, a leading brand of cigarettes made by Philip Morris sells each pack with 20 cigarettes at MXN$52 , which represents MXN$2 increase compared to last year.

Montana

cigarette brand, owned by British American Tobacco, sells each pack with 24 units at MXN$44 representing MXN$2 price increase.

Alpura

, a Mexican dairy products company made adjustments in sour cream prices , both in quarter package with MXN$2 increase and half liter packages with MXN$3 increase.

Grupo Lala

, a Mexican dairy company, made adjustments in sour cream prices as well, particularly MXN$3 price increase in the half liter package.

Coca-Cola raised its prices between MXN$1 and MXN$3 according to each product as a result of inflation and an update in the Special Tax on Production and Services ( IEPS ).
