The celebrations after the wedding
The sectors and leaders of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) are still celebrating after the wedding of the party with citizen José Antonio Meade , former Minister of Finance. We've been told the 114 members of the Permanent Politic Commission will gather today at the national HQ of the PRI to give Mr. Pepe Toño another “yes” so he can register next December 3 as the aspiring PRI presidential candidate. Among the members of the commission, Sonora native Manilo Fabio Beltrones , former national leader of the PRI, has confirmed his attendance to the meeting to approve the proceeding. Overall, our sources say, next Sunday we'll have the next part of the celebration and the party's machine seems to have more than enough fuel for that. Take out the wines and the meats! It seems to be the electoral war cry at the headquarters in Insurgentes Norte.
AMLO winks at Cárdenas

winked at Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas all the way from Tacámbaro, Michoacán, land of Mr. Cárdenas' mother. The Tabasco native, we've been told, sang praises to Cardenas' family. However, Mr. Cuauhtémoc is yet to declare his support for any presidential candidate. Our sources say several aspiring candidates would like to have the back up of Mr. Cárdenas, who has, thus far, seemed to back María de Jesús Patricio , better known as Marichuy, as he has made public calls to help her gather signatures and become an official presidential candidate. Oh, Mr. Andrés Manuel!
Peña Nieto travels to Coahuila
After the Electoral Court of the Federal Judicial Branch corrected the findings of the National Electoral Institute , headed by councilor Lorenzo Córdova, Enrique Peña Nieto travels this Wednesday to Coahuila . We've been told this will be a very exclusive event with restricted access: the Head of State will preside the opening, in the afternoon, of the facilities of the 11 Brigade of Militar Police and its Militar Housing Unit. The legal battle over the state Governor, according to our sources, delayed this visit.
Bargaining an acknowledgment for Green
The passing of former Chancellor Rosario Green , one of the most emblematic and significant figures of Mexican diplomacy was only worth a minute of silence. And this, only because Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) senator Marcela Guerra , head of the North America Foreign Affairs Commission proposed this heart-felt tribute to Green Macias. It seems the Higher Chamber has lost its diplomatic compass or, more like, it's pointing towards the electoral campaign of 2018.
