Bartlett is turning a blind eye
Manuel Bartlett
made a comment inside the Senate: he doesn't hear or see those who are against his appointment as the next CFE director. He acknowledges that he's in the middle of a political storm because of Andrés Manuel López Obrador's nomination, and he said: Which voices? Mr. Manuel argues that the critiques don't affect his mood , on the contrary, it's motivating him to fix the mess that is the CFE . By the way, the Senate's president, Ernesto Cordero , PAN, gave Barlett some recognition : his appointment meets all the administrative requirements, and he also has all the experience needed and a long trajectory, as he's been a Legislator, Governor, and Secretary of Internal Affairs. Go Mr. Manuel!

Cortés reminded them that in 2015, during a dinner party in Tijuana, many of his fellow PAN members didn't believe he was going to be the coordinator. These are nostalgic days for the PAN...
El Bronco is punished again
The bulk of anomalies attributed to Jaime Heliodoro Rodríguez Calderón, El Bronco, the former independent presidential candidate, and for which he has been fined by the Electoral Tribunal, are now part of a judicial investigation. And now the INE is adding more finds and alleged trick from El Bronco. We're told the anomalies were found in tax matter, and consist in non-recorded expenses or late event registrations or late income or expenses operations . These behaviors, they point out, would amount to an MXN $12 million fine , but as the independent candidates are fined according to their economic capacity , El Bronco will pay a maximum of MXN $369, 310, as he doesn't rely on a party's support.
