The Mexican headquarters of BBVA bank , located in the capital’s tallest skyscraper , were evacuated today around midday due to what the bank said were two anonymous emails threatening violent acts against its corporate offices .

In a statement, BBVA said it did not believe the threats were real but evacuated the tower and another Mexico City office as a precaution.

The bank said its branches will continue to operate normally.
