Mexico’s Finance Minister , announced he tested positive for COVID-19 through his Twitter account.
He explained he has mild symptoms and that he will remain in quarantine and work from home.
On June 18, the government official traveled to Hidalgo with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
He was spotted at the President’s office on June 22, where Interior Minister Olga Sánchez Cordero was also in attendance.
Public Administration Minister Irma Eréndira Sandoval and Profeco director Ricardo Sheffield have also tested positive but quickly recovered.
