AMLO assigns tasks to relatives of Elba Esther
The team of the aspiring presidential candidate of the left National Regeneration Party (MORENA), Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) , has recently assigned tasks to the relatives of Elba Esther Gordillo on his way to the 2018 General Election. We're told that within the Social Progressive Networks (SPN), the son-in-law of the Teacher, Fernando González Sánchez , has been tasked with managing intellectual debate forums across the national territory. The grandson of the Teacher, René Fujiwara, is now in charge of the relationship with the young people, so he can bring AMLO's project closer to them. In the Networks we also have Ramiro de la Rosa, Juan Iván Peña, and Felipe Hidalgo, who are in charge of the national strategy. We're told the former leader of the teacher's union , Rafael Ochoa, will also be involved in the organization of the SPN meetings. As you may see, the family and relatives of Ms. Elba Esther are working for AMLO.
PRI members upset with Meade
A topic which threatens to reach the higher-ups of the center-right Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and that could endanger the campaign of José Antonio Meade is the incorporation of certain characters to his pre-campaign team – characters the PRI isn't very fond of. Hard-core PRI members were still struggling with the news of Javier Lozano joining Meade's team when it was announced Julio Di-Bella would also be joining them. The root of their anger, according to our sources, is the huge welcome the outsiders are being given, as if they were the Leonel Messi of politics and as if there were no PRI members who could do the job they are being tasked with. And to add insult to injury, these outsiders have already benefited in advance, as they claim Senator Lozano has already secured a plurinominal candidacy for the Chamber of Deputies. This issue could be downplayed as the complaints of a minority but the fact is that some PRI members are indeed quite upset and concerned about these developments.
Alfaro tells Anaya he's not with the Front
The aspiring presidential candidate of the coalition For Mexico to the Front, Ricardo Anaya , has just been told directly by the candidate of the left National Regeneration Party (MORENA) running for Governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro , that there will be no alliance in this state. During a meeting, Alfaro told Anaya he was only going to support the Front at a national level but that locally, each party would reach its own agreements. According to our sources, Mr. Enrique allowed Anaya to choose who he will support for Governor, as there shall be one candidate of the MC, and another of the conservative National Action Party (PAN). Mr. Ricky said he would support all candidates backed by the parties of the Front. And Mr. Quique understood he was going at it solo. Was that clear enough for the Front?
Citizens unite against the Law on Internal Security
The Law on Internal Security, passed last December by Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, isn't only being attacked in trials called before the Supreme Court of Justice, citizens are also doing their own. We're told that, thus far, Federal courts have received 650 appeals filed by ordinary citizens protesting the law – yet it seems none have actually been admitted. Even more so, people have uploaded YouTube videos explaining how to appeal the law. Are Federal judges waiting for the ruling of the Supreme Court or will they take their chances to fall in contradictions?
