The transition team of President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador has sent invitations to more than 200 chiefs of state and leaders of international agencies to attend the inauguration of the incoming president of Mexico on December 1 .

of López Obrador’s government, indicated that no country would be excluded from the event. Even the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has confirmed his assistance to the inauguration, sparking criticism among the Mexican people and Human Rights activists.
He also explained that there would be a reception with chancellors and ministers from 21 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean at the transition house in Mexico City .
On October 4 , the future chancellor published a part of the guest list on Twitter, which included world leaders such as Martín Vizcarra Cornejo, President of Peru; Salvador Sánchez Cerén, President of El Salvador; Philip VI, the King of Spain; and Miguel Díaz-Canel, President of Cuba’s Council of States .
