Gerónimo Guitiérrez Fernández has been sworn in as Ambassador of Mexico to the U.S. before the Plenum of the Mexican Senate about an hour ago.

Gerónimo Gutiérrez has been endorsed by 80 votes in favor, 5 dissenting votes and one abstention.

Most of the senators of the differing political benches gave their vote of confidence to Mexico’s new diplomatic representative to the U.S. amidst the complex scenario of the current Mexico-U.S. relations.
