A group of protesters dressed as Santa Claus held a demonstration today in Mexico City's Zócalo because, we're told, they aren't allowed to work in the Alameda Central, an emblematic and historical park in the city's downtown area.
The protesters blocked several lanes in the already congested Mexico City historic downtown area.
The Ministry of Public Security has alerted citizens to avoid driving through the area in order to avoid the heavy traffic caused by the demonstration.
The protesters held signs that read: “We want to work”; “Work. Work. Work”; and “Solution, NOW”.
